Thread: it's... Rheindahlen!

Just been told today it's Rheindahlen. I've tried to have a looky-loo online, but I understand the BFG are cutting back for eventual pull-out and I don't know what's still open and what's shut. A lot of the web material looks outdated.

What sort of facilities am I looking at? Are there shops, cinemas, a gym?

Whose feet do I kiss for a full-time job on camp? I don't care what I do as long as I can earn full time! If I can't earn, can't go Will I be able to get one soonish?

What kind of MQ are there for a soldier and his Mrs, no kids? is the waiting list long? Are the curtains that bad?

Is it small enough we can get around without a car (at first)? we haven't got one now and getting one would be a pain!

What about society! He's looking at afghan in the next year and I'd be alone in Germany- are there church groups, choirs, a WI? I've got no kids so a play group or after-school thing wouldn't really be an option.

We've been told today that his marching date is the 3RD OF JANUARY so I have very little time to learn a lot. This will be our first posting. Help a sister out!

If you use Faceache, there are loads of groups for Germany, I'm sure Rhinedalen will be one of them.

Loved Germany it was my first married posting but that was a billion years ago when it was still called BAOR.
