Don't bet on his PS3 being all his. He will probably want to take it with him.

Germany is not that different from home, so he should be alright to be honest.

UK/European adapter is the only thing I can think of. Germany's just like a UK posting but with different 'lectrics.

Oh, and a German phrase book if he wants to be able to buy a pint down town.

Let him take the contents of his room, and rent out the room. Germany is a fantastic first posting, cheap beer and cheap women!

Paderborn is brilliant, in fact I would book some flights for yourself now to go and see him and do the Xmas Markets.

Germany is great, second the Xmas market thing and Oktoberfest all good fun. He can get most stuff over there and the majority of German supermarkets in and around the garrisons sell the good old British produce!

Just warn him that German beer is loads nicer and loads stronger!

Well he went today from Brum, and he's already texted us with a moan about the accommadation.

4 to a room he said.

We tried to tell him that the bull he got from the C/O's (or whoever it was) trying to sell 5 rifles having single rooms was most probably a bit of a porky pie.

Also, packing his kit was a nightmare, and he did forget his plug adapters, which is'nt too bad if thats all he forgot.........we await another call/text

Oh bless! Paderborn obviously haven't got any of the nice super blocks yet then?!
4 to a room is nothing really compared to some postings, where there can be 6, 8 or even 10 to a room.
He'll be ok when he gets settled in.
