Home Contents Shipping Insurance - moving to Fally?

    Hey All
My Husband and I are moving to Fallingbostel, the Army have organised all of our home contents to be moved from the UK to Germany but have said they do not insure our things and have said it would be a good idea to do so.
I have looked into it and its rather expensive so just wondered what other people have done?? Thanks.

Do you not have right dress insurance? If you do just call them and let them know move dates and you're covered. No charge.

Right dress is specific military insurance. It's the only insurance we can get that covers all the Army kit we need insuring. Ask your OH if he has it. If he does, give them a bell and they'll sort it out for you.

I didn't bother when we moved back from Germany last year. It was a risk, but hubby and I weighed it up and decided that if anything happened to the lorry on the way back then we would deal with it rather than shelling our the £1800 they wanted to charge us.
