    SKY - Q&A's

:?: Hi, Could any of you ladies out there help me, getting ready now for our move to Germany and are starting to sort out all the boring technical stuff. Does anyone know, shoul I cancel my sky TV in the uk and re-subscribe when I get to Germany or do I just take my box and dish with me? Thanks in advance.

    Sky Digital technican in Germany

    Hello.

A few years back when I had problems with my Sky, I spotted an advert in the Sixth Sense paper of someone who worked over here as a Sky technician. He had a German mobile number so you could contact him.

Is there any chance that either a) someone knows who this guy is and could pass on his details or b) could someone have a look in the classifieds of the Sixth Sense paper and pass on the details.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Thanks for the welcome

And thanks about the linkage to the thread, some very handy info.

Still, I'd prefer if someone could help out with my original request as the guy is very reliable, having dealt with him a while back.

Thanks anyway though DozyBint, much appreicated

I've only got the details re Sky in Belgium for Xpats and checked it if he would do the rest of Europe but sadly there's no mention of this only for Belgium - shame as I would have recommended them! (i'm an xpat of Belgium now)

The sky guy that used to advertise in the 6th sense hasn't done so for at least a year now, that's how long I've been looking out for him...

Hi, I moved to Germany only 8 months ago & already had Sky in the UK, so I brought the dish & box with me & just re-registered it to my parents address (who also have Sky). They were fine with it just made up some story that we were leaving the Army & moving in the with the folks until we were sorted.... no problems & none since. Had a great neighbour who had a satelite finder & we put it up ourselves & alls ok..
All the best on your move

    Re: SKY - Q&A's

    Hi Katy,

I was in Fally and as far as I am aware you can get a box from your estate warden that picks up some english channels for free. Or you can go into the SSVC or NAAFI and see if they have a deal for SKY going failing that have a look on the various notice boards in Fally and Hohne there was a chap who was setting SKY up or have a look in the FREE Heide mag which can be picked up in the NAAFI, Hive, SSO's and Med Centre.

    Hope this helps

    Who does SKY in germany?

    [align=center]Hi all,
we used to be with a company called SKY-SAT (out the sixth sense) and they just asked us for 150 euros, yearly connection fee..... Which I think I way too much.
Just wondered if anybody knows of any other company and prices?
We havnt got a address in the UK we could use, so this is the only way for us.
    Ta ta in advance

Re: Who does SKY in germany?

    Hello better half,

we have phoned sky direct and gave them the address in Mill Hill. They were happy with that, just one thing now i have heard that it is not Mill Hilll anymore, so all you have to find out is what the new address is and make sure that your BFPO ( was 30 or 36, had some cant really remember) comes up in the address and you should be fine.
When you have had sky through the other company how much did you pay, we pay 37 pounds a month.
