Today I went to Zoo Am Meer in Bremehaven - its basically a small zoo with arctic animals Polar bears, penguins, sea lions, arctic foxes etc - reasonable priced and they have a cafe which does bog standard grub or cafe and kucken (my german spelling is pish - if anyone cares to correct it feel free!)

One thing to consider if going at this time of the year, its right on the coast and really really cold - so make sure you wrap up warm!
