    LSAP - be warned!!

The process that is advertised at 6 weeks has taken 10 weeks so far and counting.

Highlights of the process include (and this is a very abridged version of events):

Email being sent to other half 3 weeks after initial application confirming we were accepted for LSAP and notification being sent to solicitor. Followed this up a week later to be told 'don't know why he got that email, LSAP hasn't been confirmed yet because the wrong paperwork was submitted'

Send back promissory note and 10 days later follow up as no funds received to be told 'we queried with solicitor a gap you left on the form' and subsequently 'we've never had the paperwork back'

So, faxed paperwork with polite note asking them to confirm receipt. None received. Started faxing repeatedly until someone said ‘we’ve got it, will send funds tomorrow’

Solicitor calls today to confirm funds en route. Told ‘we’ll call you back to confirm’ You can guess the rest...

I absolutely cannot believe the stress this has caused which is made worse because you can’t speak to someone directly in the LSAP office, you have to go through JPAC. We’re now at risk of losing our house all due to some incompetent little f*ckwit – or rather a series of incompetent little f*ckwits. Delays I can handle. Misinformation and promises that are never kept, I can’t. Pretty much at the end of my tether with them.

So, anyway – be warned. 6 weeks my arrse. Try 10-12.

We Are going through the exact same! I am slightly loosing my rag now! Patner rang last week to be told was being processed for payment to ring back Monday so he rang back yesterday to be told they have lost ALL the paper work this has been ongoing now since July and still no payment! I am unsure to where we stand now as we have had to get a loan to purchase our home as it is a new build and we would have lost it oitherwise! Had no choice so now may not get it anyway as your not meant to complete before but would have lost our house! I have rang LSAP myself and they will not speak to me about the matter as I am not servicing! F***ing waste of space so mad!

    Sounds about state normal!
Anything involving the military takes an absolute age. Wait till you ask about CEA now that takes forever!
