    Wedding insurance

Not me, friend getting married and looking to take out insurance for wedding. No one will cover cancellation in case groom is stuck getting home. as he is due back within a few weeks of the wedding date.
    Any recommendations from experience?

    Thanks

    Hello All

I was refered here from ARRSE after I asked the very same question. I seems THESE CHAPS from the above post will cover unexpected deployments as part of their package. I spoke to their Customer Services department and if a member of the armed forces has leave booked for the wedding day, any cancellation of that leave is covered including short notice operational tours. It is important to print your leave pass out though as they would ask for proof in the event of any claim. I may not do any harm to get something in writing from your CoC confirming that leave is granted as well.

BEWARE, many companies offer cover for "postings" it is important to clarify what they mean by that as they do not always mean operational tours.
