Blimey Jo have you thought about flogging them? They're gorgeous!

Was thinking about it, need to get the 'steady hand' pinned down first lol I'm giving them out as presants and waiting to see if they last ok, if all is well, then maybe.

Are you using paints or pens?

I find the pens are easier to use but I've never been very good at painting!

The new pens don't need baking either

I love them. You can buy 'cakes in a jar' at a shop near me and they're basically jars with pre weighed out cake mix in with a fancy little tag with the method wrote on. I might try something like this for my baking phobic friends.

Sounds like a good idea I'm using used coffe jars, sauce jars, baby food jars and also hunting down 'sales' objects, whereever i can. I am going to put candles or homemade apple sauce or jams in the small jars and the big ones will go with candles or empty, not sure yet.

They're lovely. Can definitely see the little ones working well with candles/tea lights x

You should definitely think about taking some to a craft fair and see what people think x

    Nice painting

I've also done the chocolate cookies in a jar thing (although not decorated jars) got a recipe and all the dried ingredients were in the jar, layered so you had colour differences (well sort of once it had been moved a bit) with a recipe printed out on coloured paper - seemed to go down well
Nothing to see here, move on by....

I'm donating some painted jars to my son's school, whatever they sell, they can keep the profit and add to their fund raising. If that goes ok, I think I'll try a local craft fair.

I was thinking about the 'cake/cookie' in a jar thing. Been looking at receipes online this morning, might fall into the trend of the whoopie pies, see if they are easy to make

I love the heart tealight holders! Have you thought about doing wine/martini glasses? I would buy these.
On my Christmas thread, cookies in a jar was suggested as a pressie... does anyone have any easy recipes and ideas on how to present them? x

I'm sticking to the candle holder/bowls etc for now, martini glasses are a tad pricey on this side Off to a glass making place next week, so going to see if there is anything on the cheapish side, i can use lol

I'd love to be able to paint glass, I'm just not dexterous at all! Getting the buttons glued straight to my tealight holders was a challenge... Maybe one day I'll take some kind of painting course and finally get a steady hand! x

Josephine your glass paintings are gorgeous! you should definately have a look at selling them at a local craft fair.

Here's some paintings I attempted (hope the pic works):

I just used some stencils and filled them in. Would love to be able to draw on designs freehand but unfortunately my drawing skills are pants! :-( Can't wait to try some Christmassy designs. Rubyslippers, if your like me and can't draw/paint, just get the stencils and paint them, really easy (although cheating a bit!)
