Ahh thanks guys! Of course she is my gorgeous little girl with those big blue eyes and dimples.
Enigma, I'm waiting for the baby hair to grow into lovely thick hair, it seems to be taking forever!

Maybe I've only noticed it just recently cos she's started asking for her hair up more.

For what it's worth (aside from the fact your daughter is lovely!) my cousin had sticky out ears as a child. Proper FA Cup style and her mum always wore her hair back from them and she was miserable - even at 3/4 years old - and hated them. The doctor back then (we're talking a long time ago) even offered to have her referred to get them pinned back as he could see that my cousin was distressed but my aunt refused. It took my mum a LOT of talking-to my aunt and saying how unfair she was being to her daughter (proper unhappy kid) who was desperate to have the operation by the time she was 10. The change in her was, apparently, epic and it is something which has stayed with my very beautiful, successful, stylish cousin ever since and she's in her 50s now. She said "I never understood why my mum wouldn't listen to me -thankfully, yours did" every time it gets brought up (every family photo). I would definitely see how she feels about it before making any decisions though

My daughter has sticking out ears but it is not an issue for her, she never mentions it and as far as I am aware no one has teased her over it, she ties her hair back in school. I think she has grown into them if you know what I mean, so having them pinned back was never considered and she is nearly 14. By the way I don't consider your daughter's ears to be that sticking out and she is also a cutie. But it is a subjective topic and only you and her can make the decision on the medical advice given. Good luck with what ever you decide.

It's a tough call between 'what if' in the future and the present... as others have said - go to the quack and see what he has to say... not much more help than that I'm sorry

PS: Can you lot stop putting pictures of your sprogs on here - I am not clucky, I don't do children or babies.... any more cute offspring photos and you lot will have to deal with my OH!!! XX

She is gorgeous! My ex had his ears pinned back when he was very young, only the smallest scars at the back, I know that some people do think that it is a bit vain, but we all know how cruel children can be, and it is probably best to get them done now, whilst she is young enough not have any real probs, leave it too late and then it can bring more attention to the fact that you had them done, if it was me and i struggled when i was younger, then I would do it now, especially before big school, then no one will know and there will be no bullying!

Not the same, but I always wish that i had had my boobs done when I was younger, now it would be too obvious, and having time off work etc is too much!

Whatever decision you take, she will be still be gorgeous! Good luck xxxx
