Nice to see the justice system working for once

Gilmour son jailed for student demo - Yahoo! News

Gilmore the little runt that climbed all over the Cenotaph on the day of the Student Fee's riots and then tried to claim he didn't know what the Cenotaph was..... and who of course was studying at Cambridge Universtiy no less...... got a prison sentance.

It is nice to see one occasion of some celebrity brat who can't buy their way out of trouble with Daddy's money.... Credit Judge!

Whilst I'm glad he was found guilty, I don't think that the prison sentence will teach him a thing. Aside from him being off his face - and his appalling behaviour at the Cenotaph - I do agree that he has received a sentence probably because of his famous father, rather than "getting away with it". Community service would have been more useful, I'd have reckoned, and plenty of it. People get less of a sentence for dealing/rape these days...

I think the length of his sentence has more to do with slinging at bin at Charlie-boy's car rather than the Cenotaph episode. I can't help thinking 16 months is a bit harsh though.

A bit harsh? he'll only end up doing 8 months, and I really think as a deterrent we have to start taking a stand against these trouble makers. The law is an ass most of the time, giving favouritism to the convicted and guilty rather than justice to the victim, I think just this once it's been done correctly. I wonder how many others will disrupt valid and peaceful rally's, destroy property and cause injury to the police and others, if they think they'll end up with a prison sentence?

I would imagine a fair few will hope to receive a prison sentence, free roof over head, free food and a greater chance of networking with like minded scrotes!

Lest we not forget that this boy was fortunate enough that he committed his crime in good ol' blighty.
Had that been a US national monument, or the car of Obama and the first lady, secret service would have taken him down quicker than a whores knickers!
If the boy hadn't been shot on the spot he would be facing a heftier sentence than 8 frigging months!
