car seats and car safety
Hi,
I am a student and mother of two, i am working on a project for children's car seats and need some help on user research in order to design a workable product.
To all parents has anyone had problems with their child's head flopping forward in car seat while they sleep? i would appreciate any information regarding this problem and what solutions you may have found? as i will be designing a product not yet available on the market to solve this problem therefore will need your comments please.
Many Thanks
Nora

Darcey did have one of those pillow things that go round your neck but she didn't like it when she was awake, I think it restricted her ability to have a nose around, there are pillows that can attach to either side of the seat, and to be fair, when she falls asleep now her head rolls to the side rather than forward. I don't know if that's because she is a little bit older or not.

Yes i know what you mean i bought a pillow for my son too and he didnt even want to put it around his neck, it also made his head go more forward, but i have done quite alot of research but im not sure i came across the pillow you mention that attaches to either side of seat!! do you remember where you saw it by any chance?
so do you think it was the pillow that solved your problem or the fact that Darcey is older therefore does not have this problem anymore?
Thank you for your comments it is helping me already !

I found it happened with my 1st son more when he moved up into the stage 3 (i think, the first one that the seatbelt goes over the child rather than through the seat). In his bigger seats they were always pretty deep and he tended to fall backwards into the bucket of the seat rather than forward and it's the same with my younger son now.
