    Little White Rose Bud

Despite the best efforts of the RN in giving OH random duties and sending him on random deployments, OH and I are happy to announce we're expecting in September. Had the three month scan yesterday and all is well and it's a wriggly little mite already!

We honestly thought time and timings were against us, and whilst we wanted a family, the uncertainties of Navy life and us both, shall we say, getting on a bit, we were resigned to nature taking her course. But she's been kind and given us one last chance.

Navy being Navy however beyond May we have no idea where OH is going to be from week to week, and there's a large possibility OH will be on sea training when the day itself comes. My closest family member is 40 miles away, so delivery day is going to be very interesting!

We've already stated to friends and family that, be a boy or girl, we're not entertaining anything pink. It's up to the little one whether they wish to conform to social colour stereotyping!

WhiteRose -this is FANTASTIC news! I'm so so so so happy for you I know how you've wanted a child and now you're preggers - yay! Congratulations!

Frankly I'm loving being pregnant - even with the niggles and "interesting" little things that happen when one is carrying what currently feels like a rather large, long-legged giraffe that seems intent on trying to escape via ribcage, buttocks or belly button - and I hope you do too.

If I had an emoticon to do a boogie dance, I'd be doing it for you. Awesome news!

Oh congrats WR. I bet if it is a girl you'll go and buy pink , you just can't help it when you've got a little girl. Especially if they're like my 2 with little hair and everyone keeps telling you what a lovely little boy you've got!!!
