house selling - the biggest ball ache in the world. Eight weeks five days since offer and the lender is still waiting for information from HMRC before they will instruct a valuation on my property. I wish they would hurry the hell up, I want to go house hunting. Clueless FTB's, who would have them.

Estate Agent has now told them that if they don't get their act together they will be re-marketting the property.

    Sorry Heli, been so busy moving that I haven't had the chance to reply.

    Valuation has been completed, and mortgage offer has been sent to the buyers. Their solicitor has sent some questions to mine who forwarded them to me and the EA. I didn't know anything about this because I was incommunicado until today, but it is all good. The EA has told the purchasers solicitor that I would like to exchange in 2 weeks and complete as soon as the lender is able to release the money (ie 7 - 14 days after exchange).

    Keeping my fingers firmly crossed now!

    Oh bloody marvellous! I feel much more confident now that the buyers have put their money where their mouths are! So how are you lovely? How did the move go? x

    I am good thanks. The move went well. Although our storage has been delayed a week, so we are living on a 2 seater settee and army beds again!

    We have had to buy a sofa, a new vacuum cleaner (I treated myself to a Miele) and a new dining table (treated myself to Oak).

    I have spoken to the EA this morning and we are waiting for my solicitor to send over the responses in relation to the questions raised on the searches and we will be ready to exchange next week hopefully.
