Spoke to the EA today. He has left a message for the purchasers because they are yet to put some money on account with their solicitor, and they are going to see the mortgage advisor today. Feeling very stressed now.

Why is anything to do with houses always stressful?

    This is a bit odd isn't it? Why have they taken so long to see the Mortgage Adviser? I mean - when you go house shopping you've usually got an 'in principle' offer haven't you? I know we had and I thought that was standard. Has the EA established that they can actually afford the house? Sorry Gonz, I don't mean to sound negative lovely - but I'd hte you to waste time if these people aren't actually in a position to buy.x

    I think it is very odd, but there you go. Spoke with the EA today who said that he thinks they are motivated, but slow. They saw the mortgage advisor last night apparently and the EA is going to call them again today to find out what happened and tell them they need to put money on account with their solicitor. He is going to tell them that if their solicitor doesn't have money by Monday next week that he is going to re-market the house.

    I know there was a long weekend bank holiday, but 4 weeks is too long to book an appointment to see your mortgage advisor if you really are a motivated buyer.
