A boring blog about my dull life

Dizzy does not like Diets!

Today is day 9 of my diet.

So far I have had caffeine withdrawal headaches, sugar withdrawal shakes and endured 16 lectures from my mother about the dangers of dieting!

I must say with all that I have barely noticed the absence of a certain Combat Barbie who is off somewhere doing something on a computer that I am sure I have been told but in all honesty can’t really remember. Mr D doesn’t know about my diet (unless of course he is reading the blog whilst he is out there drawing pictures of sandcastles in MS paint) but I doubt that very much.

I haven’t told Mr D for two reasons- firstly I get enough lectures from my Mum and secondly whilst everyone else seems to think it is sooooooooooo cute how Mr D worries I must disagree- It is VERY annoying! I once went two nights without sleep due to a particularly nasty neighbour and Mr D wanted to ask to come home to take me to a hotel because he was worried I was sleep deprived!
Mr D does not do worrying well. So he is not to be told of this diet under any circumstances until I am nice and slim (haha ok less fat) when he comes home.

Today I started the exercise part of the diet and oh dear! I have not cycled to work in a while thanks to people always choosing far away places with no train station for meetings. It came as a shock. I have panted my way into my office now and have sat around long enough that I am looking forward to the cycle home.

My other crazy scheme for shedding the pounds (both lbs and £) is to start trampolining again, now for those of you who have met me this will be hard to believe but once upon a time Dizzy used to be a bit of a gymnast! I used to bounce the days away at competitions trying to fling myself higher into the air than anyone else and make the fall back to Earth look graceful and artistic. I am not sure I ever really managed it but I am giving it a second go and hopefully make myself look a little less like a bouncy castle in the process.

Am I stopping there?! Hell no I have one final way I plan to work up a sweat (NO not that Mr D is away remember and he said that whilst it is acceptable for me to borrow his brothers to move things and paint stuff for me, that kind of thing is NOT something brothers can step in for) My genius plan is instead to do all the things in our new house that need doing- like scrubbing the floors for years!! If you thought MQs were dirty you should see this place! I measured the grease build up on the glass front of the oven and it is half an inch thick! So much so that you can’t close the door!!

This form of dieting is two pronged- the house smells so greasy right now that the last thing I want to do is eat and it takes some serious elbow grease to get it moving!

I just hope my crazy plan of bouncing, scrubbing, and cycling pays off and Mr D does not recognise me when he gets home. Although if he does I suppose I will have to let him into the house.
*sigh*
