SurveyMonkey: Free online survey software & questionnaire tool - its free and simple. Trust me when I say, people (especially us forces wives and girlfriends) will be more willing to use this link than give out our email..... Not meaning to be rude though hun. Plus I have used survey monkey before and it does all the calculations and stuff for you - which means LESS WORK!!!

Have you set up a survey monkey account? You can do online questionnaires on there. Most final year students at my uni use that to help them with their thesis. if you need any help give me a shout. We are all here to help!!! x

Aint_no_sunshine, I feel exactly the same. Although keeping very busy does keep me sane so I would encourage this as much as possible (although I presume you're most likely doing this.) I try to focus on the positive things out of our long distance: 1. I get to focus 100% on me and my work 2. We get to have lovely weekends together and I love the butterfly feeling of getting excited about them 3. I feel so proud that I have an OH who is so motivated and has such a sense of duty 4. I don't have to answer to anyone, when am I going to be home, where am I going - I can come, go and do what I please. Now, I am not saying that these things outway the negative because they don't. But I find trying to ignore the negs and focus on the positive def does help. Secondly, I can sympathise with having a mega bust up last night. So did we! I am so mad with him but know that I can't just race in all guns blazing and have it out with him cos he is under a lot of stress right now and I don't want to add to that. Hope yours gets sorted soon xx
Miss M thank you for sharing your pain with me, it brings me some kind of comfort knowing we're not in it alone. Just had a big bust up with my boyfriend and I hate that I can't just turn up at his to give him a massive cuddle and look into his eyes to know everything will be okay. Three weeks feels like eternity right now :'( x
You have put into words exactly how I feel every day, your not alone. I feel the sadness you do, the seperation and constantly missing the person you love more than anything, them never being around when you need them most. Having a relationship by text, MSN or Skype..Being poorly with no one to look after you, give you a cuddle and tell you everything is going to be ok. I'm here too ...x

I second that, you are most definitely not alone. Even though at home it may feel like it, I know I do! I have to pull myself back every now and again when I find myself glaring at people complaining they haven't seen their partner all weekend , or that they "have" to go do something with them. I am so grateful to have found this site, even though I don't post an awful lot, it helps to know that there are many wonderful people on here who have and are going through the exact same things, especially when my other friends just don't get it. Right now, my OH is on exercise and I miss him so I'm sat with a can of my favorite cider, reading through the posts on here, reminding myself that I CAN do this If you ever feel like a chat, or just need someone to be a sounding board, feel free to drop me a line

hi, im in he same situation myself!, just waiting for hubby to get back from deployment to put the forms in and we will be moving late april/early may!!, my daughter has just turned 5 in jan!!, schools are john logie baird or colgrain, and they are in walking distance, i dont drive either! the patches depend on rate, if not high up they will be colgrain or churchill, aparently colgrain are nearly always full, so we are putting down lower churchill as our first choice and upper churchill as our second! if you look on the thread i started 'helensburgh help needed' you mite find some of the info off some of the ladies on here helpfull :-) x
