hong kong - where to stay

Hi, am asking on behalf of my sister...

Her and her new hubby are stopping off in HK as part of their honeymoon and are looking for recommended hotels reasonably close to the airport, not too expensive as they'd like to spend more when they get to New Zealand.

    Anyone with any suggestions/recommendations??

    Thanks,

We stayed at the Metropark Hotel on Waterloo Road, Kowloon a couple of years ago & would recommend it!

Although it's not close to the airport, there are courtesy shuttles and it's close to everywhere I'd recommend visiting!

Just a tip, if you are using the MRT, get yourselves an Octopus card - it makes life so much easier (and cheaper!), although taxis are V cheap!

Will get some more recommendations for you as sister-in-law still lives there and also works at the airport so will know the lay of the land better than most!

BTW, I still have our Lonely Planet guide if she would like to borrow it, as I try not to leave home without one!!!! x
