Keeping in touch...
Good morning!
As a little background detail, Im off to New Zealand for 10 weeks to visit my mother, whilst my partner is in Afghan.
Does anyone know whether Blueys will be sent out from over there? As I wont have any internet access for those 10 weeks, and obviously I would like to be able to write to my partner whilst away.
Failing that, do the Australians or New Zealanders have any systems in use for contacting forces out in theatre, as I believe their personnel are deployed to Afghan as well? (Please correct me if Im wrong).
Any information would be much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance,

No idea, I don't know if the kiwis et al. have the same arrangement regarding sending letters for free as we do ...and I know you said you'd have no internet access, but can you not even get to an internet cafe or something and send e-blueys instead of emails? They still get printed out and are nice to keep

Re: Keeping in touch...
Well, I will be out in the sticks, so to speak, travelling for 5 weeks, and internet cafes will be few and far between (so Ive heard).
After this I will be staying at my mums for 5 weeks, where I will be able to use the Eblueys, so its not too much of a problem. Its just that 5 weeks is a long time to not write to my man, seeing as he usually gets a letter a day! lol!
Ive told him not to expect as much whilst I'm way, but obviously I'd still like him to receive the odd letter off me.
Thanks,

Yes, google has been decidedly unhelpful!
I tried the same thing myself before posting... It might have to be a case of wait til I get over there and see what facilities are available.
But if anyone knows any forces in Oz who might be able to point me in the right direction... That would be much appreciated (I know its a bit of a long shot lol).

Try posting on ARRSE on the thread related to the Ozzie/New Zealand forces. I bet someone will be able to help!

Yes I posted the same message on the Oz board, thinking that if I spammed everywhere, I might at least get some help! lol!
No replies as yet, but I'll keep you updated. Downside is I leave tomorrow, so a reply before then would be ideal. (I know I should have thought about this sooner!!)
