What is ArmyNET?
ArmyNET is a restricted access information portal, built by the Army for the Army community.
ArmyNET has been developed as a result of the experiences of serving soldiers and their families, regarding the passage of information within the Army community. The Army of today is rarely static and is constantly on the move. Soldiers are often away from barracks and as a result families and friends can become quickly out of touch with events. ArmyNET aims to provide the entire Army community with a single portal, which it can access from anywhere in the world and get authoritative information on what is going on and communicate effectively.
Every soldier in the Army, Regular or Territorial, has the ability to create an ArmyNET account. Each soldier can also create a number of guest accounts for his or her family and friends. These guest accounts then have access a secure e-mail service, (mails sent between ArmyNET accounts do not go outside of the system), forums covering a broad range of subjects, and unit websites which inform a soldiers nearest and dearest of activities when the unit is deployed on Operations.
ArmyNET seeks to constantly evolve to meet the changing demands of its customers, be they military or family members.
We welcome feedback, both positive and negative, in order that we can improve the service for the user. Please post up you comments.
