We're heading off to Cyprus next week for 12 days holiday (and my sister's wedding) and was wondering if there are any recommendations as things to go and visit/do while we're there?

We'll be staying in Paphos and will have an hire car at our disposal.

All suggestions gratefully received...

my and my oh did the same this this april for his sisters wedding - we went to the army base there to look around well drive through- hoping he may get posted there!

we also stayed in paphos - the harbour was lovely - we went jet skiing to which was fab!

food wise i would say you have to go to a place called the rib shack!! oh my god its to die for! if they have the cheese cake on you must get that! we went there 3 times! My oh loves the steak with jack daniels sauce. its not on the front it is between the aloe hotel and the riu cypria.

I have stayed in Protoras before, my best holiday ever just loved the place!

A trip to the Troodos mountains is well worth it, especially in the hot weather as its much cooler up there.

Fig Tree Bay is a lovely beach.

The water park is great fun.

We hired mopeds so we could explore the area more and found some gorgeous beaches with not a soul on them, well worth it.

the colosseum is great, Troodos mountains etc - the best thing to do is get hold of the details of the trips you can go on check those - beautiful place
