Ladies

I'm not sure if anyone on here is in Cyprus but I'm trying to find out roughly how long post from the UK is taking to get there at the moment? I need to post myself some stuff and I'm praying that it will arrive shortly after me as I can't fit it in my baggage!

Ah! I think I may have partly answered my own question! If I keep it under 2kg then it will go via air rather than sea...that appears to be the trick to it! Right, I'm off to start weighing stuff! (yep, I sure know how to live it up on a Saturday night!)

And holidays, everything stops for the locals. So if you want something sent for xmas, have people send them a good 4 - 6 weeks before the 20th Dec, just to be on the safe side.

If parcels or post that is too big to fit through a letter, is being sent, you maybe required to pick the post up from the local office (if you are living in civvie street). You have 14 - 16 days to pick up the post, before it is sent back to the sender. You will also need a form of ID, to claim the package.

Well, I posted my parcels (BFPO) the day after I first started this thread; one was waiting for me when I arrived a week later, 2 more arrived a couple of weeks later and one took about 5 weeks! Since arriving I've ordered various bits and bobs from Amazon and they have arrived in double quick time....very impressed! Very Happy Boots tend to take a while longer, i.e. about 3/4 weeks, depending on the size of the parcel. I've taken to putting in the delivery instructions to pack the stuff into as small a box as possible rather than putting them in a box that is way too big; it seemed to do the trick and that parcel arrived sooner than I expected.
