I'd imagine that most people on here have usernames and passwords for lots of different websites and I'm the same. Years ago I was convinced that there must be a better way of storing them than scraps of paper/the back of my diary and came across something called Roboform. This bit of software securely stores all your passwords on your computer, integrates with your browser and then fills in the blanks when you log onto a website. It works with all the major browsers (including FF) and the first time you see it/use it comes across as nothing short of miraculous! As an added bonus you can also put in your personal details (name, address, phone number, etc) so that when your are shopping it will fill on these details in too. The crucial thing is that you have a single master password that you put in and that then gives you access to all your other ones.
Like most good things in life it isn't free (although the trial is) but at $29.95 for a licence (second at $9.95) but I have to say it is money well spent. My father was initially very sceptical (especially concerned about the security apsects) but is now a fully confirmed evangelical!
over the years I've used it, I've been very happy although with two areas that I have always found slightly difficult. Like a lot of people I have two machines (desktop/laptop) and keeping my roboform sync'd between them has always been a bit tricky. I've also been paranoid about losing my passwords (of which I now have hundreds) so have also been worried about a backup policy.
In one fell stroke, they have cured both of them with Roboform Online which automatically syncs passwords between multiple computers AND keeps an online back up. All done automatically without any manual intervention. As far as I'm concerned this is nirvana although perhaps I do need to get out more ....
** Note I have no business relationship with Roboform/Siber systems other than to say I'm a very happy user! **

Hello to all Army wives and girlfriends.
My friend and i are working on a project to spread the word about our unique life as forces "dependants" or for those of you who arent married "not officially recognised dependant.
We would love to hear about your housing nightmares, the march in and outs, your friends and foes, the summer/winter balls, the wives who wear their husbands rank(come on there's always one), how you cope when your men are away, the pay muck ups.....
You know ladies that the list is endless!!! But it all makes our lives a little different and hard to understand to that of our civilian friends.
If you think you have a story that will provide amusement, horror or just sheer bewilderment please contact us at
forcesstories@googlemail.com
and please be assured that you will remain completely anonymous.
we look forward to reading your stories
best regards
Morven and Tracey.

Hello home fire burners...
I have started a blog, please check it out and on occasion comment if it should take your fancy. I would love to hear from you all. I am married to an RAF Chinook pilot, we live in quarters with our kids and cat. I am a fledgling commentator and writer, whose grammar is dia-bleeding-bolical! Already noted and working on it.
I am interested in driving issues to help the military from the inside out, so if you think something needs airing out there in the wide-world and there's something I can do about it I will do my best to help. Please feel free to PM or comment, or post me here.
